An Administrative Assistant job is available with the City of Fort Worth IT Finance Division. The City of Fort Worth seeks an Administrative Assistant to provide excellent customer service and administrative support in the IT Finance Division of the IT Solutions Department.

  • This is a Full-Time position.

The Administrative Assistant job responsibilities include:

  • Providing routine administrative, fiscal, and technical support for the daily operations of the IT Finance. This will include:
    • Researching and responding to confidential public information requests adhering to time-sensitive deadlines.
    • Coordination of travel arrangements to include payment and processing of related paperwork.
  • Serve as back payroll clerk and Human Resources Coordinator.
  • Provide support to all employees regarding time, payroll, accrued sick and vacation questions. Resolve all discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Providing administrative support to the executive management team to include calendar management and resource tracking.
  • Excellent operational and organizational skills with the ability to manage complex work, be self-directed and quickly develop a full understanding of our business.
  • Providing staff support to an assigned division including serving as backup for various staff positions in their absence and performing other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree from an accredited college with major coursework in Business Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field.
  • Four (4) years of clerical and administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Principles and practices of Business Administration.
  • Oracle's PeopleSoft (Human Capital Management, Financial System and Purchasing) experience strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Outlook.
  • Webex or Teams for remote meetings.

Conditions of Employment

Candidates who do not meet the Education requirement, may be considered if they have more relevant work experience than the position requires.
